Oral Surgery

Have you ever seen a TV show where someone is hungry and lost in the woods for what seems like forever and it turns out that the whole time there was a grocery store a block away? Well, suffering from periodontal issues is like that.

Red, swollen gums and missing teeth are not only embarrassing and sometimes painful, but can lead to larger health issues as well. Misguided feelings of shame, concerns over cost or the belief that nothing can be done keep many from seeking help, when help is just a phone call away.

At Ginger Price DDS, we want you to get out of the woods and let us show you how attainable a healthy, beautiful smile really is!

Periodontal disease, or gum disease, is an ongoing bacterial infection in the gums and bone around teeth that is responsible for 75% of all adult tooth loss. Even worse, periodontal disease has been linked to a host of other health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes and stroke.

Fortunately, we have our patients covered, from preventative measures to oral surgery.

Services include:

Periodontal Treatment & Maintenance – Deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) followed by Supportive Periodontal Therapy (SPT), which safeguards against tooth loss through special instructions, regular visits and routine cleanings.

-Perioscopy – A miniature camera, or endoscope, allows us to assess problems under the gum line, which, in some cases, can eliminate the need for surgery.

Dental Implants The most natural replacement for missing teeth, implants are solidly fixed into the jawbone for optimal look, feel and function.

-Soft Tissue Grafting – Covers exposed roots and fills in receding gums by replacing gum tissue, which helps prevent decay, discoloration or even bone loss.

-Bone Grafting – Prevents loss of natural teeth by ‘regrowing’ portions of dissolved jawbone using materials designed to integrate with bone.

-Crown Lengthening – Recontouring of excess gum and bone tissue to allow placement of a new crown or to expose a cavity.

-Gingival Contouring & Aesthetic Crown Lengthening – Reduces the appearance of an uneven gum line or a ‘gummy smile’ through recontouring of gum tissue (gingival) or both tissue and bone (crown lengthening).-

-Aesthetic Ridge Augmentation – Filling in sunken areas of gum with grafting materials to improve appearance or prepare for placement of dental implants.

The team at Ginger Price DDS want nothing more than to provide you with a smile you’re proud of and support you in your quest for better overall health.
