We would like to tell you about one of our dental assistants who makes a valuable contribution to our practice every day. Missy is a highly experienced member of our team, and meeting patient needs is her specialty! We recently spoke with her about working in our Smile Clinic, and we wanted to share this conversation with you.
How did you become interested in a dental career?
When I was a teenager, I had to have quite a bit of dental work done. During my appointments, the dental assistant was very kind. She made such a difference in my experience. When I went to that office, I knew I would have someone’s hand to hold, someone to provide support. And I wanted to be that person for other dental patients.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love being a part of a team that’s committed to giving someone their smile back. Because our office offers a range of dental services, I can actually help as a patient regains the ability to chew or to live comfortably again. Since Dr. Price stays on top of the latest technologies, I am also constantly learning new techniques. I am proud to be part of an awesome group of professionals that I can also call my friends!
What is it like assisting Dr. Price in her practice?
Dr. Price’s clinical skills are second to none. She creates amazing smiles and makes it look easy. She also genuinely cares about each patient, as well as her team members. During my workday, I get to see her patient commitment first-hand as I assist her with appointments and procedures.
Can you tell us about yourself?
I have been a dental assistant for 30 years. (Yes, I started when I was ten.) I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 29 years, and we have raised three amazing daughters. We have also been blessed with a young granddaughter and a grandson. I spend all my free time with my family, and I wouldn’t change a single thing about my life or career.
